I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall (wound-irritation). I well remember them, and my soul (mind, emotion, will) is downcast within meYET this I call to MIND and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I SAY TO MYSELF (mind, emotions, will), “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:19-24

LIFE ISN’T FAIR!

Bad things happen to good people; good things happen to bad people.

  • Acknowledge the PROBLEM

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall (wound-irritation). I well remember them, and my soul (mind, emotion, will) is downcast within me.

Hope deferred (delayed) makes the heart (mind, emotions, will) sick.   Prov. 13:12

You are a Spirit, you have a Soul, and you live in a body. Good News: Your Spirit (the ‘Real You’ is perfect). Bad news your Soul (mind, emotions, will) is not.

This is what I call learning to Live in the gap between being Perfect, but not yet. This gap is the place of growth/maturity, where faith is applied. Faith comes hearing the word. This is our place of growth.

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent (HOW?) and HUMBLY ACCEPT THE WORD PLANTED IN YOU, which can save you (your souls-KJV).

James 1:21-22

  • Find the PROMISE

YET this I call to MIND and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

To focus on the Promise is not denying the problem, but it is declaring God’s solution.

Psalm 42– tells us how David’s struggle with his difficulties. He didn’t deny the problem, but rather focused on the promise of God and spoke to himself…OUT LOUD.

Why are you downcast, O my soul? (SAY) Put your hope in God, for (I will) yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”  Psalm 42:5, 11

DON’T TELL GOD HOW BIG YOUR PROBLEM IS;

TELL THE PROBLEM HOW BIG YOUR GOD IS!

We have a greater inheritance as Christians; because we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

  • PROCLAIM the Promise

I SAY TO MYSELF (mind, emotions, will), “The LORD is my portion (Inheritance); therefore I will wait for him.”

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him the “Amen” (I agree) is spoken by us…             2 Cor 1:20

 So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it…..   Is. 55:11

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?  Num. 23:19

 SO I call to MIND and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’S great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

FIND A GOD’S PROMISE TO FIGHT YOUR PROBLEM!

 I will stand my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what He will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Write down the Revelation (Promise) and make it plain on tablets so that a Herald (Proclaim) may run with it. For the Revelation (Promise) awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and WILL NOT PROVE FALSE. Though it linger (faith), WAIT for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.   Hab. 2:1-3
