Mark’s Memos

" Taking Personal Responsibility – Part 3 "
March 2, 2023

“I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” (Ps. 37:25)

The Psalmist said in all his long life, he had never seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging for bread. Doesn’t this imply that something is wrong if we profess to be righteous and yet are begging others for financial provision?

“Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.” (2Thess. 3:12)

God calls all who are able to work, provide for themselves, and eat their own bread – to …“prepare provisions for yourself” (Josh. 1:10-11).

Is God powerful enough to empower you to prepare provisions for yourself?
