“For you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven.” (Heb. 10:34)
These believers had compassion on the author when he faced severe persecution but also accepted gracefully their own times of persecution. How could they endure such intense persecution? By focusing on their enduring possession waiting for them in heaven. Our earthly possessions are fleeting, and we may not always have them, but we do have an enduring possession waiting for us in heaven! Persevere!
