“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” (Heb. 7:25)
Jesus lives to make intercession for you. Many people incorrectly assume that this means Jesus is always praying for you. A more accurate translation is that Jesus lives to be your mediator between you and God (see 1Tim. 2:5). As you mediator, Jesus is able to completely save you when you come to God through Him. Intercession can mean go between or mediate. If Jesus is praying for us 24/7/365, who is He praying to? He is God! For Him to now still be praying to God would make Him less than God being the lesser prays to the greater. Even better than Jesus praying for you is Jesus being your mediator!
