“By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.” (Heb. 11:31)
In spite of Rahab’s past, she believed God would give the Israelites victory over Jericho, so she hid the spies regardless of the potential consequences (Josh. 2; 6:17, 22-25). As a result she and her family were promised protection when the Israelites went in to take over Jericho. Notice that God even honors the faith of those who may not have their lives totally in order! If God could use Rahab’s faith given her past, how much can He use your faith? Don’t let your past determine your future!
