“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” (Heb. 12:11)
The last few weeks we’ve been looking at the chastening of the Lord and our call to endure. Chastening isn’t fun at the time and is or should actually be painful (but not destructive), but in the end leads to a person maturing and experiencing a more peaceful and righteous life. Notice that God’s chastening is His training us for life success! Are you allowing God’s chastening to train you for more life success?
