“Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven. Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.“ (Heb. 12:26-27; Hag. 2:6)
This passage talks about a great shaking. Some commentators believe this great shaking was a reference to the shaking that took place as the old covenant was replaced by the new covenant. Regardless of what shaking is being referred to here, God can bring various types of shakings whenever He decides. What is the purpose of such shakings?
