“By faith he [Moses] kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.” (Heb. 11:28)
By faith Moses kept the Passover trusting God that the blood on the doorposts would protect the Israelites from the death of the firstborn (Ex. 12). This faith was based on what God had told Moses concerning the Passover and the blood (Ex. 11). Much of todays faith teaching implies that faith is mostly about getting God to give us stuff we want, but true biblical faith is often expressed in a willingness to obey God when it costs us additional adversity. Do you have this kind of faith?
