“of whom the world was not worthy. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.” (Heb. 11:38-40)
Many people typically think of faith as getting us what we want from God. While there is a dimension of faith that brings answers to prayer, these died in faith having not received the promise. That doesn’t mean God or their faith failed, but the promise was fulfilled in subsequent generations. Are you willing to put your faith out there for promises you may never experience, but may be fulfilled in a future generation?
