“The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.” (Ps. 29:5-8)
Last week we looked at some of the characteristics of the voice of the Lord from Psalm 29:3-5. Today we’re going to continue looking at characteristics of the voice of the lord from Psalm 29.
We may want to hear the voice of the Lord in ways that soothe and bring comfort and encouragement. God will speak to us in those ways at times. However, we should be open to whatever way God chooses to speak. We need God to speak in a variety of ways for a variety of purposes. Sometimes God’s voice will bring a shaking. While this may be uncomfortable, its purpose is to shake off the carnal and to secure the spiritual. Be willing to listen to the shaking voice of the Lord.
