Going to Egypt represents trusting man (the flesh) rather than trusting God (Isaiah 31:1). Once we leave Egypt [bondage], we will be tempted to go back when the going gets tough. Determine NEVER to go back to Egypt, no matter what you’re facing. Instead, trust and obey God.
“… nor cause the people to return to Egypt … for the LORD has said to you, ‘You shall not return that way again.'” (Deut. 17:16) “And out of Egypt ‘I called My son [Israel]. He shall not return to the land of Egypt; …'” (Hos. 11:1,5)
You will often be tempted to go back to Egypt when the going gets tough. Determine NEVER to go back to Egypt. It’s easier to get the people of God out of Egypt than it is to get Egypt out of the people of God!
