“Therefore you shall be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.” (Deut. 5:32)
Notice that God told the Israelites to be careful to obey Him and not to turn aside to the right or left. If we’re not careful to obey, we’re not likely really obeying! To be careful to obey is to obey even when it hurts – even when it costs us something. Don’t get ahead of God. Don’t get behind God. Stay in step with God and life will go better! Are you being careful to obey? Are you in step with God?
“You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.” (Deut. 5:33)
