Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.” And they launched out. (Luke 8:22)
Jesus and His disciples got into a boat to cross over to the other side. Jesus fell asleep in the boat and a dangerous windstorm came down on the lake, and the boat began to fill with water. The disciples woke Jesus up, saying, “Do you not care that we are perishing?” Jesus rebuked the storm, and the storm ceased. Jesus said, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith”? (Mk. 4:40)
Jesus wanted them to use their faith and authority to rebuke the storm rather than waking Him up. They believed the storm more than the words of Jesus who said they were going to the other side.
A storm has been unleashed on America. Winds of false doctrine (Eph. 4:14; 1Tim. 4:1-2; 2Tim. 4:3-4) and waves of corruption and immorality (2Tim. 3:1-5) are flooding America. This storm is not God’s will. It’s not God’s will for America to drown in false doctrine, corruption and immorality. America still has some prophetic destiny to fulfill. It’s time for followers of Jesus to use their faith, rise up and rebuke the storms that have come on America (Matt. 10:1, 7-8; Luke 10:19; Matt. 16:19)!
America is going to the other side!
