After supernaturally crossing the Red Sea and experiencing victory over the Egyptian army, the people of God continued travelling through the wilderness for the next three days. They came to a place where there was water, but they couldn’t drink it because it was bitter, so they named the place Marah, which means bitter. (Ex. 15:23)
“So Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.” (Ex. 15:25) “Then they came to Elim, where there were 12 wells of water and 70 palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.” (Ex. 15:27)
God took His people from Marah to Elim – from bitter to sweet, from lack to plenty. God wants to make your bitter waters sweet! God wants to bring you from lack to plenty! God wants to bring you from Marah to Elim! Enjoy the journey!
