Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Josh. 1:9)
God has commanded us to be strong and of good courage. Are you? God also commands us to not be afraid or dismayed.
What does “dismayed” mean? It means to be broken down by violence, confusion or fear. Our world is full of violence, confusion and fear. We can either respond by being dismayed or we can choose not to be dismayed, but instead trust God, knowing and believing that He is with us wherever we go.
Do not be dismayed!
