“For the word of God … is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:12-13)
The Word of God discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. In other words, the Word of God reveals our heart motives, both good and bad (see Jer. 17:9). We read the Word of God, but the Word of God reads us! There is nothing about us that God doesn’t intimately know. The Word is an Xray into our soul! Let God’s Word read you and do surgery on your heart!
