Mark’s Memos

" It’s Time to Stand on Holy Ground (Joshua 5:13-15)! "
May 25, 2023

In Joshua 5, an angel appeared to Joshua. Then the Commander of the LORD’S army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so. (Josh. 5:15)

There’s a time and a place to stand on holy ground. To take off your shoes (sandals) represents honoring and reverencing God and His presence. Could removing our shoes also represent removing any filth from our walk (our shoes come in contact with dirt, etc.)?

For what God wants to do next in your life, it may require you to have a season of taking off your shoes and standing on holy ground – being in God’s holy presence and letting Him do His purifying work in you. Take your shoes off!
