“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)
Jesus our High Priest sympathizes with our weaknesses because He was tempted in the same ways we are tempted, and yet never sinned. “For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” (Heb. 2:18) When Jesus sympathizes with our weaknesses, He doesn’t excuse us but delivers us! Jesus knows what you’re going through. Jesus sympathizes with what you’re going through. But Jesus wants to give you strength to overcome temptation and sin!
