“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Josh. 24:15)
Joshua exhorted the people to choose who they were going to serve. Joshua said that as for he and his house, they would serve the Lord. Notice that Joshua, as the head of his house, declared that they would serve the Lord. Choose to serve the Lord! No one can keep you from serving the Lord unless you let them. If you are a parent, make this declaration for your household. Don’t let the devil have your kids! Fight for them. God will honor your declaration of faith. Don’t give up! Persevere!
