Mark’s Memos

" Rejoice Always! "
September 8, 2022

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)

The dictionary defines joy as a very glad feeling; happiness; great pleasure; delight. Rejoice means to express joy. There are two aspects of joy – the inward experiencing of joy AND the outward expression of that inward experience. Paul wrote that we are to rejoice in the Lord – to express joy – always!

Are you rejoicing in the Lord always? Are you expressing joy always – even when you’re having a bad day?

Here are a few more Scriptures to encourage and challenge you.

“Shout for joy!” (Psalm 32:27; etc.)

“Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!” (Psalm 66:1)

“Rejoice … and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, …” (Luke 6:23)

“Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,” (1 Pet. 1:8)

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Rom. 15:13)
