“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
The Word of God is living – it’s alive with God’s power, not simply words on a page. The Word of God is powerful – it’s as powerful as you’ll ever need it to be – you can trust it! The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword – it can do surgery or defeat the enemy. The Word of God is piercing – pierces the hardest hearts and the most difficult of circumstances. The Word of God separates soul & spirit, joints & marrow – for the purpose of bringing specific focused ministry to the needed area. The Word of God discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart – reveals our heart motives – good and bad.
But the Word of God can only do these things if you read it and allow it to do its work in you!
