“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” (Ps. 91:1)
Psalm 91 gives some amazing promises to those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, including abiding under His shadow. But where is that secret place? The fact that it’s called a “secret” place implies that it’s not a public, high-traffic, popular place frequented by many. Rather it is a more private, somewhat-secluded mostly unpopular place dwelt in by few.
Jesus told us where the secret place is in Matthew 6:6 when He said, ”But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
The secret place, according to Jesus, is the private place of personal prayer where your Father waits for you. Are you meeting Him in the secret place or leaving Him there waiting for you?
