Many people assume that it is much harder to obey God than to disobey God. While it may be harder to obey God than disobey God, the fruit of disobeying God is much harder than the challenge of obeying God.
Deuteronomy 28 lists the blessings for obeying God and the cursings for disobeying God. Last week I mentioned the blessings for obeying God. What are the consequences of disobeying God?
Here’s a summary from Deuteronomy 28:15-68: You will be cursed wherever you go (vv. 15-16, 19). You will experience a lack of health & provision and a shorter life span (vv. 17-18, 21-22, 24, 26-29, 35, 38-40, 45). Failure, oppression & bondage including your children (vv. 20, 29-30, 32-34, 36-37, 41-42, 44-68). Unanswered prayers (v. 23) and defeat by your enemies (vv. 25, 31).
Think again if you think obeying God is more difficult than not obeying God!
