“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. Let us labor therefore to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.” (Heb. 4:9, 11)
There remains a rest for the people of God to enter. Notice that we’re to labor to enter this rest. This may seem like an oxymoron being we’re also told to cease from our works to enter this rest (Heb. 4:10).
We’re to make it a priority to work to enter God’s rest rather than to work to try to earn God’s favor.
This rest goes beyond physical rest, leisure or entertainment. This rest goes beyond a weekly Sabbath.
This is a supernatural rest in the Lord that can be entered anytime and anyplace. Will you work to enter God’s rest?
